John Jackson LMT, CST-D

John Jackson is a licensed massage therapist who specializes in CranioSacral Therapy and advanced bodywork techniques in Des Moines Washington. He is a Vietnam era veteran and a former brick and stone mason. His undergraduate work was at the University of Nevada Reno where he was on the basketball team.

In 1990 he attended an orientation given by Seattle Massage School (now Everest College). He saw an opportunity to explore a career that resonated with him. After completing his courses and passing his boards in 1991, he went to work as a massage therapist in a chiropractic clinic where he honed his skills and became solidly grounded in understanding Bio-Dynamics and structure function. Within a year of starting his practice he discovered CrainoSacral therapy or as John says "CranioSacral Therapy discovered him." It was this discovery that propelled him into a deeper understanding of how our bodies work and how to facilitate balance and function on many levels. John's extensive course work and practice has allowed him to develop his strong sensitivities to the subtle expressions of body, mind and spirit.

In 2001, John open up his own clinic in Des Moines to better accommodate the referrals from other practitioners and meet the needs of his clients and their referrals.

John Jackson is a Certified Diplomate in CranioSacral Techniques (CST-D) by John E. Upledger, D.O. (decd), the developer of CranioSacral Therapy. He is also a Certified Teaching Assistant for the Upledger Institute and an introductory class instructor and examiner. He has dedicated over two decades of experience toward helping others to maximize their healing, health and wellbeing potentials. John continues his education in bodywork and nutrition. His practice embraces infants to seasoned citizens, athletes; those afflicted with PTSD, development issues, chronic pain, anxiety, stress, and many other conditions.
